Easter Concert a Great Success ! - 26th March
The Easter Concert at Bearsden Burgh Hall was a great success with all four groups playing very well and also some great solo-ists. Some particular highlights in the first half were the Harry Potter themes by the Wind Ensemble, Spring from the Four Seasons by the String Orchestra and the West Side Story pieces by the Concert Orchestra. After the interval and the raffle, we had Quasimodo conducted by Nicole McNeilly, who we wish all the best as she heads off to work in Sri Lanka. The evening was then rounded off by the fantastic playing of the Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Christopher Gray who presented an American themed programme by Meyers, Gershwin and Copland. A very enjoyable concert to round off the year.
