BMYO will reconvene on Thursday

BMYO is a youth orchestra for children aged 8-18.
Who can join?
We have three sections, currently best described as friendly ensembles (grades are approximate):
- String Orchestra
- for beginning string players, who are between Grade 1 and Grade 2/3.
Junior Orchestra- for all instruments, strings Grade 3 - 4, other instruments Grade 1 - 4.
Senior Orchestra- for all instruments from Grade 4 upwards. Players are usually at secondary school.
What do we do?
- 2 concerts, at Christmas and Easter time.
- Players may have the opportunity to perform solos
- Suitable combinations of players are encouraged to form small groups such as a string or woodwind quartet.
Where do we meet?
Thursday evenings at Douglas Academy (accessed off Craigton Road), Milngavie, from the start of the school year until Easter.
- 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. String Orchestra
- 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Junior Orchestra
- 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Senior Orchestra
What does it cost?
Fees are £40 per year (two terms), or £20 (one term). Families with more than one child in the orchestra pay £40 for the first child and £30 for others.
