Easter Concert

Friday 27 March 2009 at 7.30pm

Bearsden Burgh Hall, Drymen Road

Please note the final rehearsal will be the day before (Thursday 26 March) at Douglas Academy as usual. Members to arrive at 7:00pm on the concert evening. Dress code: Senior Orchestra – boys all in black, girls all in black or black with self-coloured top; Junior Orchestra – black/dark with self-coloured top; String Orchestra and Wind Band – smart and cheerful.

Because of hall capacity, tickets will be limited to two adults and one child per family and must be purchased in advance. (£5 for adults, children under 16 free) - includes refreshments at the interval. Tickets will go on sale on 19 March at rehearsals; any unsold tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on 26 March

Any extra help with catering at the interval would be appreciated; please call Carol Gibson (Refreshments) on 942 9542, if you can lend a hand.

RAFFLE

We are holding a raffle for an Easter hamper.
Please bring any donations on 19 March.

A GENERAL NOTE FOR MEMBERS OF THE JUNIOR ORCHESTRA

If any player cannot attend a rehearsal, could you please make sure that your music is passed on to a partner who has none?

Friday 17 April, 6.30 pm - Some members of the Senior Orchestra will be playing at the PDSA’s fundraising event at Milngavie Town Hall

Rehearsals will start again after the summer holidays on Thursday 27 August 2009 (depends on let in new building – check website for updates)

Senior Orchestra only: NAYO Concert – Rehearsals on Saturday 5 September from 10am to 3.30pm at St Luke’s Church and Sunday 6 September from 10.30am to 12.00 at RSAMD for the concert at 1 pm

The Christmas Concert will be on Friday 4 December 2009 in Bearsden Burgh Hall. Full details will follow before the new session starts.

NEW MEMBERS

are always welcome and can join at any time, so keep telling your friends. At the moment we have a small waiting list for the String Orchestra.
